Access for People of Determination

All public areas of the Jameel Arts Centre are fully accessible, on all floors.*

Parking
Dedicated, accessible parking is located in the Jameel Arts Centre’s basement parking, at the far end, nearest to the lift lobby. Additional accessible parking is also available in the outdoor, drop-off parking area.

Ramps
Jameel Arts Centre is wheelchair-accessible at ground level by ramp leading from the outdoor parking to the front entrance (into the Lobby). The Creek Colonnade is accessible from the Lobby and via the paved, level paths through the Sculpture Park.

Lifts
Lifts are located in both wings of the Centre: on the Jameel Library side, the lifts go down to the underground parking, and up to offices and Member’s Room; the gallery wing lifts depart from the ground floor, making all the galleries on the first and second floor fully-accessible.

Accessible Toilets
Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor of the Centre for both men and women. Additionally, there is a gender neutral family restroom on the ground floor for those being accompanied by a caregiver.

Seating
Folding chairs are available. Please ask a member of staff at the welcome desk.

*Please note that while the Colonnade and the Corniche are accessible, as detailed above, there are steps down from the Colonnade to the Corniche on the Creekside. The Writer’s Studio does not have lift access.
