How can I visit Jameel Arts Centre?
Jameel Arts Centre is open to visitors of all ages during the below hours:
Saturday – Thursday, 10:00am – 6:00pm
Friday, 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Is the shop open?
Art Jameel Shop’s opening hours are the same as the Centre’s. The number of customers inside the shop is limited to 10 people at a time. Please remember that shopping with us supports artists, designers, writers and publishers, and is also a contribution towards Art Jameel’s work in supporting artists and creative communities.
Am I able to book a tour?
Jameel Arts Centre runs several specialised and socially distanced guided tours for groups (minimum 8 to maximum 12 per group including tour leader) welcoming families, delegations and arts enthusiasts. Is Jameel Library open?
Those looking to conduct research and engage with the Jameel Library collection are welcome to visit during opening hours of the Jameel.
Are walk-ins permitted?
Walk-in visitors will be permitted depending on the capacity of visitors during that given time. All walk-ins will be requested to sign-up at the Welcome Desk before visiting the galleries.
Are children allowed to visit the museum?
Everyone is welcome at Jameel Arts Centre.
What are the safety and precautionary measures taken by the Centre?
For your safety and theirs, the Art Jameel team will wear face masks.
You are required to wear a face mask whenever you are in public. If you require a change of mask while visiting, our team will be happy to provide them. Gloves are not required but are provided upon request.
All visitors will arrive through the ground level main entrance. Basement parking is currently closed and all visitors are requested to park in the outdoor parking spaces.
New maximum gallery capacities have been calculated and the number of visitors per room will be monitored by our security staff.
Remember to follow the general hygiene standards. Wash or disinfect your hands regularly; sneeze and cough into your elbow or a tissue; maintain a minimum distance of 2 metres and avoid the formation of groups.
What measures are being taken to keep the Centre clean?
The exhibition spaces and visitor reception area are cleaned, aired and disinfected throughout the day after each visitation time slot. This also includes cleaning the public toilets every 30 minutes as well as disinfecting “high-touch areas” such as door handles with the approved cleaning material by the UAE Ministry of Health. Hand disinfectant is provided for visitors at the entrance.
What happens if a visitor does not follow the rules?
Jameel Arts Centre is required to report any violation of the UAE’s COVID-19 laws to the authorities. Our staff is authorised to deny entry to any members of the public that shows signs of illness or refuses to wear the mandated safety gear. Under the law, violators of the laws are subject to fines.
What happens if I learn that I have COVID-19?
Please only visit Jameel Arts Centre if you feel healthy. Should you test positive for COVID-19 within two weeks of your visit, you are kindly requested to notify our team by emailing [email protected]. Your details will be kept confidential, but this will guide us in testing our own team members.

Jameel Arts Centre is open-access and free for all. Visitors are requested to stop at the Welcome Desk to register or check in upon arrival.
The Jameel has a number of facilities to make visits more enjoyable and convenient. Jameel Arts Centre has free wifi throughout the building for visitors to remain connected.
Jameel Arts Centre is located in Jaddaf Waterfront, nestled between Business Bay Bridge and Garhoud Bridge on the Bur Dubai bank of the Dubai Creek.

Jaddaf Waterfront is accessible from both E11 and Al Khail road.
Parking is available outside the Jameel, adjacent to Art Jameel Shop.
Visitors with children:
- Available at the Welcome Desk in both English and Arabic, “My sensory journey with Hiwa K”: An activity booklet, devised by Art Jameel’s Learning team. Children can explore the exhibition’s artworks through a set of interactive activities and riddles. While at the Welcome Desk, be sure to ask about digital resources and additional activities for kids and youth
- Families and visitors with children are requested to ensure that those in their care adhere to the art-friendly etiquette detailed below
- Changing tables are available in the family restroom on the ground floor
While visiting Jameel Arts Centre, please refrain from:
- Smoking anywhere in the Jameel
- Touching or resting on artworks
- Bringing pets or other animals into the museum. Arrangements for service animals may be made through [email protected]
- Consuming food or drinks in the galleries
- Entering the Jameel with bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades or other similar objects
Photo and video
Personal photography and video are permitted inside Jameel Arts Centre. However, accreditation is necessary for the use of professional video equipment on the premises. Please email [email protected].
