In this session, Maryam Al Dabbagh draws on Iraqi poetry on displacement and exile through the lens of Hiwa K’s exhibition at the Jameel Arts Centre. Looking at Destruction in Common and The Bell, Al Dabbagh will discuss how Hiwa K., and through poetic recycling, blends together themes of beauty and despair.
