Join us for an interactive workshop designed to introduce young audiences to the world of contemporary art.
Children have the opportunity to explore Jameel Arts Centre’s latest exhibitions through engaging gallery talks and open conversations, encouraging them to ask questions and share their thoughts. It’s a wonderful way to build confidence and help children feel comfortable discussing art.
Guided by educator EY Lucy Jung, participants focus on the exhibitions Asunción Molinos Gordo: The Peasant, the Scholar and the Engineer and Mohammad Alfaraj: Seas are sweet, fish tears are salty. Young participants are encouraged to take part in lively discussions designed to spark curiosity and inspire creative thinking.
Following the gallery exploration, children enjoy hands-on art activities inspired by works they have seen and felt. Using a variety of materials, participants create their own artworks, drawing on their personal interpretations and ideas.
Suitable for young individuals, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to discover new ways of exploring and discussing art. Encouraging participants not just to look at art, but to see, think, and respond in fresh and meaningful ways.
This workshop is free to attend and is suitable for individuals and families of all ages. No prior experience is required, and all materials are provided to ensure an enjoyable and welcoming environment for everyone.
