Join us for a hands-on workshop where young audiences dive into the imaginative world of contemporary art.
Children will explore Mohammad Alfaraj: Seas are sweet, fish tears are salty through interactive gallery talks and playful conversations, uncovering the stories, textures, and ideas hidden in the artist’s work. Inspired by Alfaraj’s use of everyday materials and poetic imagery, participants will be encouraged to imagine their own fantastical creatures and nature-inspired artworks.
Guided by facilitator Majd Ismail, children will use recycled and natural materials, just as the artist does, to build their creations, blending artmaking with storytelling. Along the way, they’ll be invited to share their ideas, ask questions, and connect their own experiences to the art they see.
This workshop is designed to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and help children feel at home in the gallery space. No prior experience is needed, and all materials are provided to ensure a fun, creative experience.
This workshop is free to attend and is suitable for individuals and families of all ages.
