Inspired by the current group exhibition ‘Crude’, exploring oil’s influences in today’s world, four solo shows and various sculptures and commissions, Jameel Arts Centre holds together a series of tours and workshops for children.
The workshop features a guided tour of the galleries and a discovery journey of artworks followed by creative hands-on activities, unique to each visit and led by artists and educators.
Key workshop takeaways focus on looking at art but also on making and reflecting.
Sessions are free-to-attend with advance registration required. Register by emailing [email protected] before January 26. Limited spaces available.
This session is held by multidisciplinary artist, Sara Masinaei.
Sara Masinaei is a multidisciplinary artist. The development of Masinaei’s research and practice draw on underlying sociopolitical nuances of Middle East in its cultural evolution and the collective and idiosyncratic narratives of arts; attempting to question contexts and presuppositions of political narratives. She completed her BFA at American University of Dubai (2004) and received her MFA from Central St. Martins, University of the Arts London (2011).
