Join us for our monthly Family Saturdays as we take in the lovely weather. Hosted on our roof terrace, this day is dedicated to creative exploration, providing a welcoming space for drawing, writing, crafting, and much more.
Developed by Rashid Almheiri, this family saturday’s is open to children, families and people of all ages. Through the self-led activities, participants learn various techniques such as collaging, 3D sculptures and creating vision boards to welcome the new year.
The activities are free-to-attend and run all day to encourage and support creativity and imagination by providing space for children to share stories and foster cultural awareness while exploring forms, patterns, writing, and drawing.
Terrace Days is suitable for everyone, and all necessary materials, along with step-by-step guides and instructional support, will be provided.
About Rashid Almheiri:
Rashid Almheiri is a storyteller with a BFA in Graphic Design from the American University in Dubai. He participated in the NPUAE Venice Internship in 2024, Exhibition Guides 421 Program in 2023 and The Assembly at Jameel Arts Centre in 2021-2022. Invisible curiosities spark most of his projects, like the themes of imagination, oral folklore, and memories. Collaging possibilities, merging tales and interacting with kids inspire his playful imagery. He is continuously gravitating towards creating poetic and meaningful experiences.
