Jameel Arts Centre offers diverse workshops to foster and encourage sustainable art practices. In this series of sustainably focussed workshops, families collaborate and learn to recycle everyday materials into tangible and symbolic artworks.
In this family workshop, textile artist Hanneke Reinalda examines the materiality of fabrics and textiles and introduces techniques to mimic these textural qualities. Parents and children explore everyday materials such as paper napkins and white cotton fabrics and learn to transfer them into layered landscape collages. This workshop invites families to engage in the process and value of reusing, reducing and recycling.
The workshop held by Hanneke Reinalda is free-to-attend. Registrations for this workshop are now full. Kindly RSVP if you would like to be added to the waitlist.
This workshop is suitable for families of all ages. No prior art experience is required. All materials and equipment are provided.
