Marking the opening of Eltiqa: How to Work Together join us for an engaging conversation on the formation and collaborative practices of the artist collective founded in Gaza City in 2000. For over two decades, the members of Eltiqa have cultivated artistic practices together, establishing a dedicated exhibition and workshop space in Gaza City and nurturing younger generations of artists through workshops, exhibitions, and creating a space for dialogue and collaboration.
The discussion will feature Yazan Khalili, a member of the exhibition’s curatorial collective The Question of Funding, in conversation with Eltiqa artist Mohamed Abusal and Dr. Martin Heller, a member of the Lumbung Gallery cooperative, developed during documenta15. Together, they will explore selected artworks from the exhibition and the structures of support that safeguarded them and sustained the collective through political, social, economic, and personal challenges.
Eltiqa Artists: Mohamed Abusal, Abdel Raouf Al-Ajouri, Mohammed Al-Hawajri, Raed Issa, Dina Matar, Sohail Salem
