In this teen workshop, participants explore clay as a canvas. With the introduction of ceramic hand-building techniques, participants learn to produce low, high and sunken reliefs to combine texture, carving and layering to create sculptural grounds. 

Participants observe the landscape and surroundings of Jaddaf Waterfront and Jameel Arts Centre to construct symbolic shapes, forms and layers to assemble a sculptural painting on ceramic slabs.

The workshop held by Jameel Arts Centre’s Learning Coordinator Hadeel Al Heeti is free-to-attend.

This workshop is suitable for teenagers aged 12 and above. No prior art experience is required. All materials and equipment are provided.
