Library Circles is a series comprising research, talks and experimental interventions conducted by UAE practitioners at the Jameel Library and Jameel Arts Centre. The programme delves into alternative research methodologies and representations, focusing on the concept of ‘thinking in public’.
Join Jameel Library for a Library Circles tour led in English by Rashed Almulla at the Jameel Arts Centre on Saturday, 16 December, 2023 at 11:30 am.
During this tour, Rashed Almulla guides visitors through his research display, elaborating on his collection of stamps, documents, currencies and the pivotal historical moments they document, including stamps used in city branding.

Rashed Almulla
Rashed Almulla is the Founder of MABNAI and an independent urban researcher specialising in urban history and planning. Based in Dubai, Almulla employs multiple mediums focusing on the built environment through exhibitions, symposiums and research contributions. He directed the Future of Gulf Housing Symposium (’23) and curated Spaces that Remain exhibition (2022-2023) at Bayt AlMamzar. Almulla holds an MSc in Regional and Urban Planning from the London School of Economics.
