Tour & Workshop: Out of Sync — Assembly-led tour of the Youth Takeover 2026: Not the Season

All welcome. Limited slots, pre-registration required

The Assembly-led Walk-shops are a series of intimate, evening sessions running across the Youth Takeover 2026, each one anchored to a specific curatorial project within Not the Season and facilitated by the Assembly members behind it. Rather than observing the exhibition, participants enter it from the inside: through movement, writing, perception, and reflection. Each session is limited to 15 participants.

How do we destabilise perception itself?

Assembly members Ahmed Bilal, Saiki Padhy and Saina Bidshahri lead Out of Sync, an evening perceptual walk through the exhibition, structured not around explanation but around subtle misalignment. Participants move through Saiki’s curatorial provocation Calibration in three phases, encountering a series of calibrated disruptions that gently unsettle how they orient themselves in space. The session closes with a collective mapping exercise, tracing what was noticed, what was missed, and when something felt out of sync.

Out of Sync was developed by Dina Barqawi as part of the Youth Takeover 2026.

Ahmed Bilal is a Pakistani installation artist and creative technologist. His work is driven by a fascination with perceiving the world in new, unconventional and often uncomfortable ways. He creates immersive experiences inspired by esoteric philosophies and experimental art movements, hoping to peer through the veil of the visible.

Saiki Padhy is an artist-researcher and sound designer from India. His work explores the interplay between emerging technologies, urban policy and the top-down structures that shape urban spaces.

Saina Bidshahri is an Iranian storyteller who found purpose and individuality through the camera. Whether photography or film, her work draws from identity, memory and culture. What began as a means of self-understanding has become a calling to discover hope amid the complexities of the world.
