Lasting Petal is a hands-on workshop centered on the emotional significance of giving. Inspired by Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook: The Bouquet and the Wreath, the session invites participants to think about the significance of floral gestures and craft enduring flower offerings.
The workshop begins with a guided exploration of the exhibition, followed by a hands-on session where participants use Modroc to shape and build their own sculpted flowers. After forming petals and stems, they paint and personalize their creations with color, ribbon, and written dedications. Each participant leaves with a unique bouquet celebrating someone meaningful in their life.
In this session, participants consider the act of gifting flowers beyond traditional occasions. By shaping and forming their own lasting flower, they create a meaningful offering for someone of their choosing — celebrating the life, presence, or impact of that person. The workshop invites a shift in how we perceive floral gestures, transforming them into personal tributes that extend beyond time and occasions.
