Join us for a special series of workshops as part of the Tam Ta: Soaked in the Long Rain exhibition programme.
Water – Performance Workshop by Trần Lương
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Trần Lương‘s workshop explores water as both a material and a medium for performance. Trần Lương highlights the deep connection between water and life, noting that in Vietnamese, ‘water’ also means ‘country.’ With its fluid and unstructured nature, performance art mirrors water’s adaptability. Participants will explore beyond the visual, engaging through behavior, sound, taste, and touch.
Participants will move through multiple stages, starting with an introduction to performance art and progressing to various methods of interacting with water. No prior experience is required.
Spaces are limited, and attendees will be selected through a short application process, requiring a brief response on their motivation for joining.
How to Document an Exhibition? – Workshop by Biljana Ciric
4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Biljana Ciric’s workshop challenges traditional methods of documenting exhibitions. Inspired by art historian Terry Smith’s critique of linear documentation, this session encourages participants to explore alternative perspectives that incorporate auditory and sensory elements.
Through experimental exercises, attendees will decentralize the gaze and rethink how exhibitions are recorded. Participants should bring an example of an exhibition documented in a non-traditional way to share with the group.
Both workshops contribute to a broader exploration of artistic engagement and documentation. Participants may opt to attend one or both workshops through the RSVP link. Limited slots are available, and selected participants will be notified in advance.
