All welcome. Limited slots, pre-registration required
The Pour is a 90-minute participatory workshop by Assembly member Dina Barqawi exploring how hierarchies and “systems of order” naturally emerge within domestic spaces. Inspired by domestic rituals and resource committee dynamics, the session uses a tea setting to examine “conditioned agency”; how we rehearse roles through repetition rather than explicit instruction. Participants will engage in a facilitated “game,” navigating minimal prompts and etiquette cards to manage resource distribution. Expect to experience firsthand how systems stabilise through small acts of compliance, concluding with a structured discussion on how these invisible structures feel naturalised.
This programme runs from 11am to 7:30pm, with multiple slots throughout the day. There are limited slots of 5 participants per session; participants are required to register for one slot as per their convenience. Please see the timings here:

Dina Barqawi is an architect whose practice maps narrative cartographies and the quiet dialogues of land. Through cultural memory made material, she translates design through narration, creating experimental forms and curatorial gestures that frame space as a site of encounter and reimagine how architecture might hold memory and shape possibility.
