This session investigates movement as a responsive and relational practice, where the body continuously adapts to space, others, and shifting conditions. Through reflexive games, floorwork, and structured improvisations, participants engage with levels, transitions and embodied reactions. Connected to research on the body as a living archive, the session considers how repetition, pressure and interaction shape physical memory. Rather than treating movement as fixed form, it is approached as an ongoing process of sensing, recording and responding, creating a collective space where awareness is built through action and where the body becomes both site and instrument of reflection.
This programme is organised by Assembly 2025-2026 member Rei Co as part of the Youth Takeover 2026.
This programme is followed by Community Assembly: Performance Arts & Theatre-Making gathering from 6:30pm, in collaboration with Off the Grid. This session introduces a performing arts community into the Youth Takeover, extending the exhibition’s reach into live practice through facilitated discussions and guided exercises.
