Performance – ‘Tender Is The Fire,’ by Augustine Paredes

Marking the opening of his Artist’s Rooms, join us for ‘Tender Is The Fire,’ a live sound performance by Augustine Paredes featuring excerpts from his upcoming poetry album ‘Slow Disco‘ — an anthology of recluse confessions, strange desires, devoted submissions, and vulnerable resistance.

Participants will be able to experience Augustine’s sonic vocabulary and text-based work reverberate within the Project Space at Jameel Arts Centre. This live mixing and making of sound will be an intimate approach to the artist’s practice spanning performance and poetry alongside photography and painting.

This performance is preceded by a conversation with Augustine alongside fellow Art Jameel Collection artists. Open to all and free to attend. RSVP here.

The poetry album ‘Slow Disco‘ will be available at the Art Jameel Shop following the performance.
