This is also a creative way to make a beautiful and personalised notebook by using scrap paper. Feel free to choose the size, material and design of your custom notebook.

Materials:

• awl (or any needle-like tool)
• sewing needle thread (preferably linen)
• A4 printing paper – you can use lined or colourful paper, thick card paper (120 gsm or above)
• a sponge or foam
• brush
• pencil
• stapler
• ruler
• cutter
• ink or paint
• paper clips
• scissors

Eman AlHashemi is an artist and art instructor. She is currently teaching ceramics at AlJalila Cultural Centre for Children. She holds a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Sharjah and was part of the fifth cohort of the Salama Bint Hamdan Emerging Artist Fellowship.
