The Ramadan Souk

Wrapping up Ramadan at the Jameel this year is the Ramadan Souk, an evening for all to gather and celebrate the season. Do your Eid shopping, spend time in the galleries, participate in a workshop, or enjoy a treat from one of the homegrown eateries.

The Ramadan Souk runs across the entire Centre: from the galleries, Jameel Library and Art Jameel Shop– with workshop spaces spanning both the creekside and interior spaces. The Souk includes:

Workshops, demos and personalisation opportunities covering everything from sustainable gift wrapping and custom portraits to illustration, origami and henna.

A Ramadan Souk, or market, featuring vintage, upcycled and preloved goods, locally-made and sourced apparel and accessories, Ramadan and Eid gifts, and more.

Guided tours of ‘Age of You,’ ‘Hiwa K: Do you remember what you are burning?’ and Sunoj D and Namrata Neog’s Artists Garden

Food vendors for sweet and savory light bites and refreshments as well as designated picnic areas across the Jaddaf Waterfront Sculpture Park.

Ramadan at the Jameel is a community engagement initiative made possible in collaboration with #MyDubai

The Ramadan Souk is a free event open to all. Book your two-hour visit to Jameel Arts Centre here and check in at the Welcome Desk upon arrival. Limited-capacity workshops require additional registration
