For his Artist’s Garden commission, Bo choreographed a dance with two human dancers and a Samur tree growing in the Mleiha desert in Sharjah as a way to understand and reconnect with the land and the tree. The performance is presented here as a film installation, presented at the Jameel, set within a landscape of indigenous plants that thrive in the desert
Art Jameel’s new centre in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia’s coastal city, is now open! The five-month opening season (until April 30) includes an array of new exhibitions, commissions, projects and installations across the creative complex, featuring more than 45 artists from around 20 countries.
