Join us for a tour of the group exhibition ‘Guest Relations‘ with Art Jameel curator Lucas Morin. Led in English at the first floor galleries, the walkthrough will look in detail at artwork, archival material and architectural research from across the Global South examining the historical, political, social and cultural transformations accompanying processes of intense touristification.
Following the tour, visitors are encouraged to visit the in-house restaurant Teible for lunch or arrange a picnic at the Jaddaf Waterfront Sculpture Park.
Later in the afternoon, all visitors are welcome to join us at 2:00 pm for ‘The Work of Welcome‘ a three-part conversation discussing the interconnected processes of impact, statecraft and the global dynamics of power and labor. Featured voices include artist Mati Jhurry, curator Duygu Demir, and art historian Roger Nelson.
