This workshop was conceived as part of the Assembly 2020 Youth Takeover public programme and is delivered by architect, artist and designer Sarah ِAl Adayleh. Limited capacity, first-come first-serve basis. Kindly RSVP to the workshop and successful registrations will receive details and instructions for joining the session.
Through bridging art and architecture, Sarah can blend conventional methods of architectural representation in mapping and imagining lived domestic spaces. This workshop explores the retrospection we have in our confinement during the post-pandemic condition. The participants are free to use graphed paper or hatched paper or even their Ipads to draw their own objects and spaces that signified their experience during this time. At the end of the workshop, participants can share their thoughts and feelings on these spaces and objects to trace a mental image of our collective livelihood.
Sarah Al Adayleh is a Jordanian architect, artist and designer. Sarah communicates her research through architectural and illustrative expression, primarily through collaborations and teaching. Bridging architecture and art, she explores the mediums of ink, block printing and digital modeling.
