Jameel Arts Centre offers diverse workshops to foster and encourage sustainable art practices. In this series of sustainably focussed workshops, families collaborate and learn to recycle everyday materials into tangible and symbolic artworks.
In this family workshop, textile artist Hanneke Reinalda examines the materiality of daily discarded waste, such as candy wrappers, brown paper bags and old fabric scraps, to turn them into textured artworks. We invite you to bring along daily discarded items to learn the process and value of reusing, reducing and recycling.
This workshop is suitable for families of all ages. No prior art experience is required. All materials and equipment are provided.
Registration for this event is now full. Kindly RSVP to add your name to the waitlist in case of cancellations.
