Junior’s Tour and Workshop: Living Sculptures

Jameel Arts Centre offers various workshops and tours for children, juniors and teenagers. The workshops feature a guided tour of the galleries, followed by a hands-on art activity inspired by artist themes, techniques and processes. Participants create a symbolic and tangible element inspired by their time at the Centre.

The tour and workshop take inspiration from the current exhibition The Distance from Here, with a focus on artists Hicham Benohoud and Do Ho Suh. The performance-based workshop taking place in the gardens and the amphitheatre located in the Jaddaf Waterfront Sculpture Park seeks to provide young children with an experience to interact and respond to the notions of space and time. In this workshop, children are introduced to collaborative play through a series of performances and working together on observational drawing exercises.

The workshop held by Jameel Arts Centre’s Learning Coordinator Hadeel Al Heeti is free-to-attend with advance registration required. Limited spaces are available.

This workshop is suitable for children aged between 6-12 years old. No prior art experience is required. All materials and equipment are provided.
