A Time Capsule Exchange invites families to embark on a journey of self-reflection and inspiration. Facilitated by designer Sarah Al Soloh and Assembly member Sami Al Soloh, the afternoon begins with a family tour of (un)cooked, after which participants are guided to a vibrant space filled with colourful stations, each equipped with letter writing stationery. Here, kids are encouraged to pen down their aspirations onto paper and write letters to their future selves, becoming a time capsule of their youthful spirit and imagination. Meanwhile, adults share their wisdom and experiences through heartfelt advice and encouragement for the next generation. With an opportunity to exchange their respective wisdom, this activation aims to engage the hearts and minds of all individuals – irrespective of age.
The activation will continue to live on throughout the duration of the Takeover, encouraging continuous engagement from children and adults alike.
This activation is organised by the Assembly 2023-2024 member Sami Al Soloh as part of the 2024 Youth Takeover.
