WYWY is a dream pop duo consisting of sound artists X Alvarez (aka Astral LXXXI) on vocals, synth, and xylophone, and Mckie (aka Mckiealvarez) on guitars, bass, and synth. Based in the UAE, the band has been active since 2015, enchanting audiences with their hauntingly beautiful sound and live performances. The duo have performed at various local cultural events and venues including Manarat Al Saadiyat, New York University Abu Dhabi, Sikka Art and Design Festival, Emirates Airlines Festival for Literature, Sharjah Art Foundation, and more.
