In the spirit of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, Jameel Arts Centre offers the opportunity to take pause and dedicate time to appreciating and nurturing the wonder that is the human body through a gentle restorative practice that will take place under the moonlight at the Centre’s scenic Roof Terrace.
With a view of the Dubai Creek on one side and the Jaddaf Waterfront Sculpture Park on the other, Haya Massoud will lead participants through meditation and breathing practices and movements tailored to creating space, practicing gratitude and intention-setting for the rest of the month.
A guided tour of the current Jameel Arts Centre exhibitions precedes the session from 6:00 – 6:30 pm.
The session will be led in English.
Pre-registration is encouraged as spots are limited. Important notice: Upon completing your registration for Jameel Arts Centre’s Rooftop Rest and Relaxation session on Friday November 5, 2021, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, you acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions outlined here.
This Art Jameel programme is part of an ongoing series that looks at the intersection between art and wellness.
Haya Massoud
Working at Jameel Arts Centre as the Public Programmes and Events Coordinator, Haya Massoud is a certified yoga instructor trained in Raja Yoga, and is passionate about making holistic healing and wellness practices accessible to those she meets on a day to day basis. Of these practices is the engagement with art, especially within museum settings, and mindfulness exercises that can be practiced practically anywhere and at any time, making Haya a champion of slow art viewing and similar techniques that combine meditation and creativity.
